        Certification of professional training and experience  

 

           -      Working arborists and technicians must have at minimum a college

                  diploma in Arboriculture and/or Forestry.  

           -      At least one year of related work experience.

        Member of professional associations

           -      International Society of Arboriculture.

           -      National Arborists Association.

         Professional standards

            -      Does not use spurs in live trees.

            -      Adheres to a code of ethics.

         Insurance

            -      All workers are covered by Workplace Safety Insurance Board.

 

            -      The firm carries at least $1 million coverage in general liability insurance

                    to protect your assets.

            -      The firm carries at least $1 million in errors and omissions insurance.

        Good references and reputation

        Good management practices
